Eight Months Old Today!

Today Sebastian is exactly eight months old. We miss him terribly, but we're trying really hard to be patient with the process. We know that when he gets home, the difficulty that we've had waiting will melt away, but... that doesn't really make it any easier to deal with right now.

Fortunately we've had plenty to keep ourselves busy lately. I was very excited to hear last week that a long-term substitute had been hired to replace me when I go on leave, but then she got another job that had a more defined starting point. So I'll have to keep hoping that there is someone in place here when we get that phone call, but... I'm going to Guatemala when that call comes, whether there's a sub or not!

For the past few months, I've been saying to myself, "It doesn't matter if Sebastian comes home and his bedroom isn't painted. He's a baby, he won't care." Well, I've painted the bedroom. It looks pretty cute, too. Steve and I also went shopping and bought the remaining "gear" that we'll need when Sebastian comes home, so now, all we need is the baby!

I know exactly what you mean about painting. I put it off until beyond the last minute, too. Some people really get into the whole decorating and creating the room for the baby, but I lean towards the easier side of cute. :)

p.s. Ah, snow days!
