I may never be able to top this moment...

Sebastian LOVES T.C. Bear - so much so, that he named our new van after him. He is quick to point him out whenever he sees him, whether we're at a game, watching a game on T.V., or we just encounter a picture of him somewhere. Every. Single. Time.

"Look, Mommy. I see T.C. Bear!"

Yesterday, we were at the Twins game. It was a beautiful day for outdoor baseball, to be sure. It was plenty hot where our seats were, and Sebastian is... well, he's a little kid with the attention span of a little kid. In an effort to not get dehydrated, we drank a lot of water. Which meant a lot of trips to the restroom. I saw very little of the actual game, but that doesn't really matter. We had a goo time. Finally, towards the end of the game, we saw T.C. Bear down on the plaza near the entrance. Sebastian decided that he wanted to go meet him. I figured that no one sitting near me would want to hear him screaming if I said no, and we would get to be in shade for a bit on our way to find him, so we went bear hunting.

It was totally worth it. The smile on Sebastian's face when he ran up to T.C. and gave him a hug was worth the price of admission to a game I didn't get to see.

And as we left the ballpark, the lady at the gate said to Sebastian, "Good-bye, Slugger."

He looked at her and said, "No. Slugger is in Kansas City. I'm Joe Mauer."
