We were watching a Twins game last night. The Twins were up to bat. They showed the opposing team's catcher, and Sebas said, "That's Joe Mauer."
I replied, "No, that's Baltimore's catcher. Joe Mauer is on first base."
Sebas got REALLY mad at me and said, "But I want him to be Joe Mauer."
My response? "He probably wants to be Joe Mauer, too."

We went through a phase a couple of months ago when Sebas really wanted to read Eric Carle books. Apparently, his preschool class had been "studying" these books, and so every night at bedtime, he would ask if we could read an Eric Carle book.
Last night, Steve was reading him "The Grouchy Ladybug," which is an Eric Carle book.
He asked Sebas if he knew who wrote the book. No response, so Steve prompted him, "Eric..."
And Sebas said, "Uncle Eric?"

On a related "Grouchy Ladybug" topic:
There is a yellowjacket in the book. The ladybug is quite rude to the yellowjacket. Well, okay, the ladybug is rude to all of the animals. But the yellowjacket has always stood out to Sebas, because last winter, he was learning that coat and jacket mean the same thing. So to him, it is a yellowcoat.
